Problems we diagnose
- No ignition or no heat. Igniter, flame sensing, gas valve, control board and gas supply checks.
- Error codes and lockouts. We read the code, then confirm the cause with testing instead of guessing at parts.
- Pressure or flow switch faults. These are often caused by a dirty filter, closed valves, pump problems or bypass issues rather than the heater itself.
- Heater runs but the water stays cold. Burner condition, gas pressure, heat exchanger condition and plumbing layout.
- Sooting, rollout or unusual flame. These need attention right away, because they point to a combustion or venting problem.
- Leaks. Header, heat exchanger and fitting inspection.
Seasonal start-up and maintenance
Pool heaters sit outdoors and idle all winter. By spring, burners, air openings and the area around the heater often hold insects, nests and debris. A start-up visit covers a visual inspection, cleaning of the burner area where accessible, venting and clearance checks, a test of the safety controls and a full heating cycle with the pool system running.
Booking the start-up before the first warm weekend avoids discovering a problem on the day you want to swim.
Repair or replace?
If a heater has a failed heat exchanger or several major components failing at once, replacement can make more sense than repair. We explain what failed and what the repair involves, so you can decide with the facts in front of you. We don't push replacement when a repair is reasonable.
Brands we work on
Jandy, Raypak, Hayward, Pentair and other gas-fired pool and spa heaters.
Brand names are used only to describe the equipment we work on. Axii Home Comfort is an independent service company and is not affiliated with or authorized by any manufacturer.
What to send with your request
The brand and model from the rating plate, any error code on the display, and a short description of what happens when the heater is called to run. Add it in the form's brand, model and description fields.
